Acer Palmatum Dissectum is a low growing dissectum variety of Acer with lacey fine leaves. Fully hardy, these trees tolerate very harsh cold winters. They do not like to dry out and can do so especially in pots, so extra care must be taken if you keep these trees containerised to make sure they are properly watered. Mulch is recommended to increase the moisture around the plant. Sheltered shadier areas are recommended and they will grow well in a neutral to acid soil.
Other dissectum varieties available include Acer Palmatum Dissectum Garnet and Acer Palmatum Dissectum Ornatum.
