Acer Palmatum Dissectum Atropurpureum
Also known as a Japanese Maple, this particular variety rarely grows taller than 4-5 feet in height - it's therefore the perfect choice for smaller London gardens.
This hardy, deciduous Japanese acer cultivar has a naturally weeping dome shape with a thicker trunk. The purple deep cut leaves turn to bronze during the summer and then to a bright crimson in the autumn.
Acer Palmatum Dissectum Atropurpureum, prefers shade or partial shade in a sheltered position - a useful tree for a sheltered north or east facing spot - as extreme full sun can cause its leaves to shrivel.
Note: Attractive Foliage colouring - these acers change colour in autumn, the tree's red leaves form a stunning autumn display
