Acer Palmatum Orange Dream
This small and slow growing deciduous Japanese Maple is a narrowly upright variety which presents as a shrub or small tree – this is the perfect tree for small gardens and provides a stunning display of leaf colour changes through summer to autumn.
The bark is bright green and the foliage has large palmate leaves which begin in spring as almost lime green / yellow which then changes with the season through to orange tinged with pink to a glorious bright golden yellow in the autumn. This gives the tree a luminous quality which can work well as a statement tree in a shady corner, the overall height reaches 2 metres.
Acer Palmatum Orange Dream is a less common cultivar it is hardy and prefers partial shade - particularly needs protecting from afternoon sun.
