The Purple Beech or Copper Beech as it's sometimes known is Fagus Sylvatica Atropurpurea.
A native tree to the UK - it is a popular choice for town and country gardens and is grown primarily for it's stunning coloured leaves.
The Purple Beech retains it's purple leaves throughout the summer an d becomes more of a bronze colour as the autumn approaches until reaching a rich copper colour, this tree retains its leaves during the winter months - providing essential winter colour in the garden.
Copper Beech can be successfully used as hedging but it is mainly used as a focal tree in garden landscaping. Our trees are specimen size and will create an instant impact.
Not a suitable tree for heavy or wet soil.
