Beschorneria Yuccoides

Beschorneria Yuccoides is more commonly known as the Mexican Lily or the  Mexican False Red Yucca. It is an evergreen perennial, a hardy tropical plant from the Agave family originating in high altitude forests.
The Mexican Lily is drought tolerant and produces wide, grey / green yucca shaped leaves which are fleshy and not sharp.
The Mexican False Red Yucca grows best in full hot sun or light shade and grows to about 1M tall. 
In Summer it flowers producing dramatic red and orange tubular flower stems over 1M long. 
TIP: Use grit in the planting hole to encourage free drainage. This plant is frost tender and will need protection below -2C in Winter. Plant in a hole large enough to avoid disturbing the root ball.
