Daphne Odora Aureomarginata is a small compact rounded or dome like shrub with dark green leaves edged in a creamy yellow colour. The shrub is fragrant and the flowers are small but beautiful shaped as light pink tubes arrive early in the year.
Grows well in shade or partial shade this Daphne originates from China and is therefore very hardy in harsh weather. They prefer not to sit in waterlogged soil - keep well-drained.
Maximum height realistically around 4ft (120cm) in height - they are mostly low growing and compacted.
The variegation (the cream edging) on the foliage gives this plant a smart appearance and it is a rare and unusual shrub and often sought after. 2l pots available in the nursery approx 50cm in height and bushy - see photo below. Also offered in much larger sizes in Spring/Summer months.
Flowering late Winter/early spring highly scented flowers.
Chinese plants also available at the nursery such as Bamboo, Hardy Palms, Pines, Banana plants and Cornus.
