Daisy like herbaceous perennial Echinacea Purpurea is also known as the Coneflower and varietie's include Kim's Knee High or Ruby Giant, has fiery pink flowers and is known for its medicinal properties. 
Echinacea plants survive in the poorest of soils and likes a sunny warm position, the flowers are an absolute magnet for bees and butterflies. 
Drought tolerant Echinacea creates a prairie look.
