Grape Vine

Vitis Vinifera more commonly known as the Grape Vine is a deciduous woody stemmed climber grown for foliage, fruit and wine. 
Our varieties of grape plants are from southern area of Italy. Grapevines provide a wonderful climbing interest for fences, pagodas and south facing terraces. Grown by the Victorians in glass houses the varieties available today are more hardy and can be grown successfully outside -   climbing vines require full sun, medium water, and good drainage. 
Well cared for grapevines can remain productive for 50 years or longer. The vines should only be pruned in the winter.
