Also known as Heavenly Bamboo this plant is native to China and Japan but is no relation to the Bamboo family. Brought over to the UK in the 1800's this is a hardy shrub with bright red berries and is an attractive addition to the garden scheme.
This is a really easy plant to grow and is hardy to -12 degrees. It requires no pruning - although it's leaves can be cut for flower arrangements - the birds will love the berries in the winter.
