Rhus Typhina more commonly known as the Staghorn Sumac Tree.
A deciduous ornamental, upright suckering shrub or tree with divided dark green leaves turning orange-red in autumn.
Rhus Typhina is a native tree of North America, this is a useful plant in that it will grow in poor soil - often soil that other plants will not tolerate. It has a spreading habit and forms large Stag Horn fruits at the end of the branches in Autumn. These and the leaves and bark of this tree have been used to make natural dyes.
The leaves are very pretty when they change to yellow and orange in the autumn.
