Yucca Rostrata is a stunning desert Yucca which forms nearly spherical heads, has numerous long bluish-green to bluish-grey leaves of 40 to 60 cm long.  Although the tips of the foliage are pointed this Yucca does not have the stiffness of foliage like other Yuccas and is therefore quite harmless. 

Fantastic architectural plant indoors or outdoors. The panicle is about 60 cm long, which consists of fleshy white flowers. The plant can withstand temperatures down to -15 degrees Celsius, when rooted properly.  See also Yucca Gloriosa

Yucca Rostratas are regularly used in contemporary garden designs due to their clean architectural shape.  These Yuccas are commonly known as Beaked Yucca, Silver Yucca or Big Bend after the region in Texas where it grows in abundance.
