Updated for Autumn / Winter 2015 & 2016 Season!
Olive Trees (Olea Europea) have much to offer today’s urban garden or patio. Olive trees, being slow growing, do as well in containers as in the ground. The soft grey-blue foliage of the olive trees blends in beautifully with other plants. Try under-planting for example with lavender or rosemary or an evergreen shrub such as Buxus Sempervirens (box).
Olive trees are evergreens, producing delicate blooms in spring, followed by the olive fruit. Great as ornamental trees with their architectural shape and increasingly gnarled trunks as they mature. Olive Trees are disease resistant and will grow for hundreds of years. As with most plants, until they are established give them plenty of TLC for the first year (or two years if they are very mature). After that, once they settle in, they are low-maintenance, relatively drought resistant and are well able to tolerate cold snaps.
We have many sizes (maturities) of olive trees for sale UK hardy all, and sourced directly from Italy. A particular speciality of ours is sourcing mature olives trees that can otherwise be quite difficult to find in the UK. As always at Paramount, we are proud of the premium quality of our olive trees.
