An Inspirational Trip to Italy<\/strong>
\nAt least twice a year we travel to Lombardy in Northern Italy to source new and unusual plants for the Paramount Plants collection<\/a>.<\/p>\n

These trips are a source of enjoyment and delight for us. The Italian Lakes are renowned for their year round Mediterranean climate and the sheer number of sumptuous botanical gardens to visit here are a testament to this. For example, the magical Isola Bella on Lake Maggiore<\/a> is renowned as one of the region’s many garden treasures. It is a time for us to reflect, to renew old friendships and to research and secure our next seasons amazing specimens.<\/p>\n

There are always surprises and revelations in the plant world and the sight of so many varieties of specimen trees growing in this Italian micro-climate is a source of inspiration for us.<\/p>\n

\nOur autumn focus will be on all forms of topiary<\/a>, with some incredible styles of pruning. Extending our already huge selection of stunning mature evergreen trees<\/a> and ornamental shrubs<\/a> for above fence screening. Our Japanese Acers<\/a> will be showing off their finest Autumn colours and as always the Magnolia Grandiflora’s<\/a> will be as impressive as ever.<\/p>\n
