Acer Palmatum ' Bloodgood' is a deciduous Japanese Maple tree. Bloodgood is a popular choice for residential gardens because of its size, it has a maximum height of 5 metres and and maximum spread of 5 metres. The tree has deeply cut dark red / purple leaves which remain red for most of the summer, turning bright red in the autumn.
It develops on multiple branches which gives a strong sculptural element to the shape of the tree - it can look lovely when used for night time illumination of the garden.
Acer Palmatum Bloodgood is hardy but prefers partial shade. Back-fill with soil mixed with peat substitute and a suitable fertiliser.
