CHOOSING/ORDERING PLANTS

Our plants can be ordered at our Plant Centre here in Crews Hill, North London EN2 9BH UK or purchased online. Please telephone or email if you have any queries regarding your plant purchase.

VISITING THE NURSERY

Customers (retail and professional) are always welcome to visit the nursery during our normal opening hours 9am-4pm to view the large selection of plants we have for sale at the nursery. We are open 7 days a week including weekends and Bank Holidays (except Christmas and Easter Sunday). (If you are travelling a distance please phone to check nursery opening hours which may be subject to change only in extreme situations such as severe weather or other out of the ordinary circumstances beyond our control).

Our website gives an indication of our prices, the varieties of plants we sell and approximate sizes. Prices shown are inclusive of VAT. Availability and prices may be subject to change. If you require an estimate please email with a list of plants you require and we will email with the availability and prices correct at the time of writing.

FREE CONSULTATION WITH OUR IN-HOUSE GARDEN DESIGNER

Sales staff are available in the nursery who are able to provide helpful and courteous advice to our Customers for any plant purchase. If you think you may need more detailed advice, for an hour or more, we would recommend that an appointment is booked for a free consultation at the nursery with our in-house garden designer who is available every Friday and Sunday between 10am-3pm (and every other Wednesday between 10am-3pm). FREE GARDEN DESIGN

Free garden design is also available - if you are looking to spend over £1500.00 we can produce a visual/ground plan and planting schedule. This service is subject to the condition that we take payment in full of £1500.00 when instructed to produce the drawings (as this work will take the designer several hours to produce). This payment of £1500 can then be used by the Customer as a deposit towards minimum plant purchase of £1500 made within 30 days of the drawings and ground plan being produced.

PAYMENT TERMS

Plant purchases at the Plant Centre - mostly customers choose their plants in person at our Plant Centre – when the correct plants are identified with our Sales Staff the Customer tags the plants with an identification name. Deliveries can be organised by us. We accept major debit/credit cards (except American Express) and bank transfers. Cheques are not accepted. All goods must be paid for in full before leaving the nursery premises. Goods remain the property of Paramount Plants and Gardens Ltd until paid for in full. We do not reserve plants until they are chosen by the Customer and payment is received by us. Orders are paid in full at the time of tagging trees in the nursery. We do not hold trees longer than 14 days unless specifically agreed in writing with the Customer.

PLANT PURCHASES / GUARANTEES

Plants supplied by us are excellent quality, well-established, mature specimens which have a 100% survival rate provided they are cared for correctly. Our Customers are always delighted at the quality of service, plants and layout of the nursery. Some of our customers have even been kind enough to provide us with recommendations and some fantastic feedback. See link: Recommendations . Our plants are guaranteed to be supplied by us in excellent health and condition at the time of leaving the nursery (ie at delivery by us to the Customer or collection by the Customer). All plants must be checked by the Customer on delivery/collection. Any unacceptable plants must be rejected at the time of delivery/collection, and the Plant Centre informed by telephone at that stage, or plants will be deemed accepted by the Customer. No responsibility is accepted by us for plants failure due to planting, soil, weather or any other factor beyond our control. The Customer must ensure that they have undertaken their own checks and taken appropriate advice prior to purchasing plants from us. No responsibility is accepted for neighbour/boundary disputes, complaints, fines, enforcement action for trees or shrubs purchased which may contravene planning, hedging or any other legislation.

MAINTAINING/PLANTING PLANTS

Plants are living things and as such must be regularly cared for and maintained by the customer or preferably an experienced gardener. We have provided some maintenance and planting tips for all our Customers. If you have any problem with any plant purchased from us we are available to assist with any Customer query - please email us. A photo should be sent to us by email explaining any problems and we are more than happy to give further advice. (We cannot give advice about any plants not purchased from us).

OUR PLANTING SERVICE

Planting of plants purchased from the Plant Centre can be organised by our experienced and knowledgeable planting team (subject to availability of staff at the time of purchase of plants). Planting fees are estimated per job and an estimate can usually be provided when customers are viewing the plants at the nursery. Approx labour fees for planting only (ie not including removal of other trees on site/roots etc) would be £500 incl VAT for every £1000.00 of plants purchased (subject to a minimum labour fee of £500 incl VAT). (Labour fees do not include materials such as soil, tree stakes, soil conditioners etc or rubbish removal – an estimate for these items can be provided by us in writing when we know the plants you intend to purchase). Labour fees are estimated based on our current awareness of the nature and extent of the work which we are to undertake and assumes no significant or out of the ordinary problems or complications. We do not accept responsibility for damage to underground services unless the exact location of such services are advised to us prior to commencement of the works. Any changes or additions by the customer to the work on site must be notified immediately to our management by telephone or email.

We always recommend that our Customers visit our Plant Centre to view the wide range of plants we offer. It is the Customer’s own responsibility to ensure that any plants shown meet specific requirements. The website may contain occasional inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for such inaccuracies or errors. The website contains material which is owned by Paramount Plants and Gardens and includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance, graphics and photos.
