Acer Palmatum Full Standard
The Japanese Acer - Japanese Maple
This truly stunning tree from China and Japan is one of the most popular garden trees today. Grown in a sheltered semi shaded position it will grow an elegant branching crown.
Primarily green in spring when it first emerges it turns a vivid and spectacular red in the Autumn. In most cases they will turn different shades of yellow and orange before turning the famous crimson colour we adore.
Grow in moist, fertile soil away from extreme wind and sun and it will look after its self after a couple of year from planting. Remember to keep the tree watered in the first couple of summers.
Height 5-10 metres.
