Agave Americana

Agave Americana is a spiky succulent from Mexico also known as the Century Plant.

This is one of the most familiar of the Agaves - grown all over the Mediterranean - it is an impressive sculptural plant that is a useful architectural addition to garden design. Agave Americana Relatively fast growing it's grey green leaves are arranged as a large rosette at the base of the plant - with spiny lance shaped leaves with large panicles on very tall flower stems of greenish-yellow flowers.
