Japanese Rosy Buckler Fern

Dryopteris Erythrosora is commonly known as Autumn Fern, Pink Shield Fern and Japanese Rosy Buckler Fern
 This wonderful fern variety is a shade loving plant with delicate fronds tinged with a beautiful rose colour and for this reason its known as an accent fern. Although known as the Autumn Fern it is in the spring with new growth that it is seen at its peak - displaying new fronds which emerge as a copper red colour and slowly change to green as the leaf ages.
It is an evergreen fern however is semi-evergreen in cold climates.
Another interesting Japanese fern is the Japanese Tassel Fern.
