Acer Palmatum Shindeshojo is commonly known as The Spring Ruby Tree. This is a beautiful delicate leaved, deciduous, Japanese Acer with red leaves when the leaves emerge in early Spring turning to light pinks. Acer Palmatum Shindeshojo is wide growing and upright and the branches are light and twiggy giving the impression of a delicate tree. Other interesting and unusual Acer varieties include Acer Palmatum Atropurpureum and Acer Palmatum Chitoseyama.
This Acer prefers moist soil which is neutral / acidic and likes a sheltered partially / full shade position.
