Liriodendron Tulipifera known as the Tulip Tree. This tree is a fairly fast growing deciduous tree. Can reach up to 10m but is usually kept pruned to required size and shape. Flowering in mid summer the flowers are large and bright greenish/yellow with markings of red and orange and as per their common name have a resemblance to tulips.
The leaves are very unusual because they have a saddle like shape. Lioriodendron Tulipifera prefers moist soils well-drained soils. Sheltered and warm position best.
