Magnolia Yellow Bird - its proper name is - Magnolia X Brooklynensis this is a relative newcomer to Magnolia varieties, this hybrid was bred by the Brooklyn Botanic Garden back in the '60's and became commercially available in the '80's.
This is a most unusual colour for Magnolias which are usually white and pink, it's a small to medium sized vigorous deciduous tree with large conical canary yellow flowers that create a spectacular show in the early Spring.
Growing Tip: Can be grown in any aspect with full sun or partial shade, it prefers a moist neutral to acid soil in a sheltered spot - it will grow to a Max height around 2-3m
