view this plant size >Photinia Fraseri Little Red Robin is a small evergreen shrub that is similar to its better known big brother Photinia Fraseri Red Robin, except that Little Red Robin is a smaller, more compact, dwarf version and also has smaller, more rounded foliage. Apart from this, it has all the winning features of the very popular full sized Red Robin plant - glossy dark green leaves that are a vibrant bright-red when young. It produces small white flowers in spring and fruits in late summer. Over time, Photinia Fraseri Little Red Robin will reach a maximum height and spread of circa 1 metre, so it is never going to get overly large.
A recently introduced dwarf cultivar, Photinia Fraseri Little Red Robin is a lot slower growing than the popular Red Robin but it more than makes up for this as it has even more vibrant red foliage from spring to autumn and has a denser growth habit.
Little Red Robin is very easy to maintain and will only need a light clip once or twice a year. Plant in full sun or partial shade.
Use Photinia Fraseri Little Red Robin for growing a low hedge that will provide year-round interest in the garden. Little Red Robin is also ideal for beds and borders as a compact shrub in smaller gardens and also will grow well in containers.
Photinia Fraseri Little Red Robin is also available as in tree form.
