Photinia Red Robin Three Quarter Standard Tree is a hardy beautiful, half standard tree. These standard trees have one main trunk and a straight, clear stem (or trunk) free of branches or foliage of between 1.2 and 1.5 metres tall (120 to 150 cm).
This Photinia Red Robin three quarter standard tree has been trained and clipped into an elegant topiary lollipop shape. It is a superb ornamental plant for decorating doorways and entrances. It looks good in pots on patios or in mixed borders.
In early spring, Photinia Red Robin's attractive new shoots and young leaves are bright red in colour gradually turning green as the leaves age. By the end of the season, the leaves have become a beautiful bronze-green. These seasonal changes means that a Photinia Red Robin half standard tree has a wonderful range of leaf colours throughout the entire growing season, which is usually May to June. It also forms small white flowers in spring and fruits in August.
