Rhododendron Golden Torch Yakushimanum hybrid (AGM)

Rhododendron Golden Torch is a Yakushimanum hybrid, a group of semi-dwarf Rhododendrons that are perfect for small gardens or small borders and make ideal pot and container plants. This beautiful little specimen has received the Award of Garden Merit (AGM) from the RHS and is one of the best performingRhododendron hybrids of its size, its profuse cream-yellow flowers contrasting prettily with the lush green foliage.
The Rhododendron Yakushimanum was first introduced from Japan in the 1930’s and has been used to produce the highly successful ‘yak’ hybrids (as they are sometimes known). These Yak or Yakushimanum hybrids are a hardy, compact species of rhododendron, famed for their showy flowers in lots of different shades.
Rhododendron Golden Torch will reach a maximum height and spread of 60 to 80 cm. It likes partial shade, and acidic soil.
