Salix Integra Hakuro Nishiki is commonly known as Flamingo Willow. It is a beautiful dwarf variety of Willow that originates from Korea, Japan and China. Small in stature, the Flamingo Willow tree more than makes up for this by its sheer decorative value. The stunning new foliage emerges in spring with vibrant pinks and white colouring. As the foliage ages, these change to cream and lush green leaves. The decorative catkins of Salix Integra Hakuro Nishiki appear in early spring and are a delicate golden colour.

Even the branches are decorative! A deciduous tree, Flamingo Willow tree will shed its leaves in the autumn revealing  a lovely deep crimson coloured stems which provide much needed colour in the border during the winter months.

The Flamingo Willow tree, as with most willows, will perform best in a moist, well-drained soil. A striking little ornamental tree or shrub that is perfect for small town gardens and can also be successfully grown in containers (do make sure to keep it well watered if grown in a pot).

Salix Integra Hakuro Nishiki prefers full sun or partial shade and can be planted near to a pond or water source.

Salix Integra Hakuro Nishiki is a little treasure of a tree which can be grown as a tree or a decorative shrub. We have two sizes and / or shapes available, both of which you can by online. The bushy shaped Salix is 1.25 metres tall and can be grown as a shrub. We also have Salix Integra Hakuro Nishiki as a full standard tree at circa 3 metres tall.
