Thuja Plicata Full Standard Trees
Thuja Plicata is also known as Western Red Cedar. Thuja Plicata has deep green, dense foliage and a good average growth rate, making it an excellent specimen. Planted in a row, these Thuja Plicata Full Standard Trees with their clear-stemmed trunks and foliage on the top, will provide instant screening above an average sized garden fence. These Thuja can be planted in slightly restricted space as we've pruned them into a standard shape, that is with a clear stem; there will be no branches until approx. 1.8m from the ground. Do be aware that they can grow huge though, upwards of 30 metres over the course of their long lives.
A Thuja Plicata Full Standard Tree is an excellent choice screening plant for under planting. Maintenance is easy as well as they only require a trim once a year or twice for perfectionists. Thujas grow on any type of soil in sunny or semi shaded gardens.
