Azalea Golden Flare
Azalea Golden Flare is an Exbury Azalea hybrid that produces a mass vibrant yellow flowers with a red-orange blotch. These are large showy rich yellow flowers, around 7-10 cm in diameter, usually borne in May. Fresh apple green foliage opens around mid to end of April.
Azalea ‘Golden Flare’ is a striking deciduous shrub that develops into a rounded form, reaching around 1.2 to 1.5 metres tall and wide over several years, with bold golden-yellow flowers that bring vibrant seasonal colour to garden beds and naturalistic plantings.
Exbury Azaleas (also known as Knaphill Azaleas) are known to be among the most flamboyant of the deciduous hybrid azaleas. Developed in the UK, these azaleas are hardy and tend to flower from May to June. Exbury hybrids were developed by Lionel de Rothschild at his Exbury estates, where he continued the work that began in the 18th Century at Knaphill.
