Camellia Japonica Kingyo-tsubaki
Camellia Japonica Kingyo-tsubaki is a large, evergreen camellia shrub that grows up to 3.5m in height with a spread of 2.5 metres. Camellia Japonica Kingyo-tsubaki is an older variety of camellia and was originally introduced in the 18th Century. Bloom appears in early spring (usually March) with lovely reddish-pink single flowers. The flowers looks spectacular offset against the background of deep green, glossy leaves.
Often used by professionals because of its showy blooms and lovely foliage, Camellia Japonica Kingyo-tsubaki works well as a structural plant in semi shady or shady position in the garden. It also works well as an ornamental hedge.
Acidic, moist, well-draining soil is ideal for Camellia Japonica Kingyo-tsubaki.
