A non invasive bamboo variety Fargesia Angustissima is a highly attractive variety producing bright magenta and lime green coloured new shoots or culms. These are covered in a cream coloured sheath which produces white powder on the leaves which can give a frosty appearance. Fargesia Angustissima is very elegant with tall upright arching branches and slender arrow shaped leaves it will grow to between 4 - 7 metres tall at maturity and provides a lovely thick, dense screen making this an ideal choice for evergreen screening. The stems can reach up to 2cm in diameter - Fargesia Angustissima would prefer a sheltered spot to get established - it can be grown in a planter but care must be taken to water regularly, it prefers to grow in moist, well drained soil in partial shade to a sunny position.
