Ilex Aquifolium Alaska is a particularly hardy variety of holly. It is a slow growing, low maintenance evergreen shrub or tree. Ilex Aquifolium Alaska grows to 10 metres tall and is an excellent plant for security hedging and /or screening.

As with most Hollies, Ilex Aquifolium Alaska has spiky glossy leathery leaves. It grows in full sun and / or in semi shade and enjoys moist, well-draining soil.

Ilex Aquifolium Alaska is a self-pollinating variety so males and female versions of the plant are not required. It should produce masses of bright red berries, which are a vital source of food for birds in the winter.
