One of the most ancient of British trees, the Yew lends itself to being shaped with the greatest of ease, coupled with having the densest evergreen foliage and being super hardy, it's no wonder this is the plant of choice for topiary and hedging purposes, needing only a couple of trims each year to keep them in shape.
Taxus Baccata Balls are low maintenance plants that are highly accommodating. Yew can be grown in most soil types, in any aspect and will grow comfortably in full sun, partial or full shade. The soil should be well drained and Yew's will grow in neutral, acid or alkaline soil so there are pretty much no limitations on where to plant.
Usefully, Taxus Baccata balls can be planted in exposed positions and will tolerate urban pollution, so these are an ideal choice for the city garden and roof terrace, yet conversely will suit windy and coastal regions. A really fabulous plant that has only one consideration - the seeds are toxic to humans but are loved by wildlife.
These Taxus Baccata globes are an elegant choice for either side of an entrance or as a topiary edging for the border .Yew is relatively slow growing, so our Taxus Baccata Balls are a very good size and represent excellent value for money. We are able to supply these Yew topiary globes in large quantities.
