Viburnum Plicatum Kilimanjaro Sunrise is a relatively new variety of Viburnum presented at the RHS Chelsea Show - where it won the Plant of the Year 2015. This is a gorgeous free flowering lacecap variety and we are offering these at a rarely seen larger size of 1.25 - 1.5 metres high. This new variety is normally available at a much smaller sizes.
Viburnum Plicatum Kilimanjaro Sunrise is a star performer, it is absolutely covered in a profusion of white lacecap flowers during May and June. The flowers, gradually change with a hint of palest pink and these are swiftly followed by a mass of crimson berries. The berries develop as they age into a deep plum colour. The birds love the berries and pollinators adore the blooms. There is often a second flush of flowers later in the season producing more berries into Autumn when the leaves turn an attractive burgundy colour. This new variety of Viburnum is hardy to -15 degrees. Viburnum Plicatum Kilimanjaro is a truly stunning variety and a beautiful addition to your garden.
Growing Tip - plant in full sun or partial shade in a sheltered location in most well drained soils.
