Crataegus Laevigata Paul's Scarlet is a red hawthorn tree variety. We have 1.5 - 2 metre high stocks which can be grown as a single tree or can be planted as a lovely hedge. Paul's Scarlet has a very dense growth habit which will give great screening properties. The thorny branches also work well as an additional security measure when planted around your property border. The flowers appear in May and there is often a second showing in early Autumn, followed by berries that are loved by birds. This is a very strong tree which will thrive in almost any soil.
