Acer Palmatum Diss Garnet is one of the world's most popular of the Japanese Maple cultivars.
One of the smaller Japanese Maples, it is a stunning tree with red leaves. Forming a dome shaped compact tree with deep cut filigree leaves - starting out purple in the early part of the season and changing to bronze and then shades of orange and red in the autumn.
It is relatively slow growing and its size, Max Height 3m. Max Spread 3m. makes it the perfect choice for the smaller garden or for container growing - care must be taken not to let it dry out.
Acer Palmatum Diss Garnet is a deciduous tree which is fully hardy and unusually for Acers, be grown in full sun.
Growing Tip: Back-fill with soil mixed with peat substitute and a suitable fertiliser - likes neutral / acidic soil.
Acer Palmatum Diss Garnet has an RHS Award of Garden Merit
