AGM plants have been through a rigorous trial and assessment programme by the RHS and are deemed:

Camellia Japonica Spring Festival  - is one of the US 'Californian' Camellias - it is one of the most popular Camellia varieties, possessing evergreen green leaves that have a lovely bronze tinge when first growth appears. This is one of the first Camellias to come into growth in Spring. The profuse pale lilac pink flowers appear in early to late Spring. The flowers are relatively small in size with a 5-6cm in diameter and are rose-form double shape but it is the profusion of blooms that makes this variety one of our best sellers.
The profuse flowers and shiny green evergreen leaves make this a popular choice for year round interest. Camellia Spring Festival has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit a sure sign this is a quality plant that delivers in most gardens.
Camellia Japonica Spring Festival grows in a narrow and upright habit and this lends the shrub to being easily shaped as a tree or three quarter standard tree. These trained Camellia trees are rare but are one of the specialities of Paramount Plants - contact us for details if you're interested in mature specimen Camellia trees.
Growing tips: Originally growing in a forest environment in the Far East, Camellias prefer a neutral / acidic soil and will thrive best if grown in ericaceous soil. For more details read our blog on Caring For Camellias and view our entire collection of Camellias in stock
