Our evergreen jasmine frame is a fragrant flowering jasmine climber trained on a bamboo screen to create instant bushy evergreen cover. It’s ideal for windbreaks, privacy screening, and greening up a bare fence line.

Evergreen jasmine is also called Trachelospermum Jasminoides or the Star Jasmine. It’s native to China, but it’s a strong grower in the UK and one of our most popular climbing plants because it has glossy dark green leaves that turn red-bronze in winter and sweetly fragrant white flowers in mid to late summer. The blooms are so fragrant they’re used in perfumes and often found growing wild throughout the Mediterranean.

This version is trained on a jasmine screen for instant impact. Its evergreen foliage is bushy and in summer scented flowers emerge just as they would on an untrained shrub. It’s an ideal way to scent seating areas and attract pollinators whilst practically creating shade, warmth and an evergreen screen

Height and Spread of Evergreen Jasmine Frame
Evergreen jasmine grows to five metres tall if it’s left unchecked, but its bamboo frame indicates a reference point to which you can tie in new growth and trim back extra stems.

How Hardy Is Evergreen Jasmine Frame
This is a hardy climber that copes with UK winters if it’s sheltered from cold drying winds and has well-drained roots. Harsh winds can damage its foliage and lead to stunted growth.

How To Use Evergreen Jasmine Frame
Our jasmine screen is specifically grown to create a number of convenient screening options without waiting years for plant growth.
Its evergreen glossy foliage and sweet blooms make it an ideal choice to instantly screen off seating areas and balconies. It will also cover an ugly fence with attractive greenery, and easily raise fence line heights. Pollinators love its white summertime flowers, so it’s a great way to support the environment whilst smartening up your garden.

How To Care For Evergreen Jasmine Frame
Our jasmine screen thrives in full sun to partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil. It needs shelter from the harshest winds and flowers best when it’s protected from the worst of the elements.
Pruning isn’t required, but you can tie in and trim back new growth around the screen each year to maintain its size.
Give it plenty of water until you spot new growth and a thick layer of organic mulch in spring.
