Osmanthus Fragrans also known as Sweet Osmanthus, Sweet Olive, Fragrant Tea Olive. Fragrant evergreen shrub.

This bushy evergreen shrub is ideal for evergreen hedging.  Producing large dark green leathery leaves with creamy white fragrant flowers in Summer this makes a handsome hedge.  Osmanthus is native to Asia and it is fully hardy in UK climate. The foliage leaves can be serrated or smooth edged even on the same branch. Excellent for screening, hedging and acting as a windbreak.

Known often as the Fragrant Tea Olive it has a similarity to Holly and is extremely popular as a hedge as its fragrant flowers attract birds and wildlife. Plant near to the house to enjoy the delicate fragrance which is similar in scent to gardenias or jasmines.
