Yucca Thompsoniana ia a beautiful symmetrically shaped plant which is also known as Thompson's Yucca or the Beaked Yucca. Not dissimilar to Yucca Rostrata
but with slightly wider leaves which are much stiffer and are an attractive blue / green colour. These Yuccas are extremely hardy and will happily tolerate the UK climate - we would suggest in extremely cold weather to protect the plant from snow and ice. Like most Yuccas, Thompson's Yucca will grow in poor soil as long as it is well drained and in full sun. The Beaked Yucca will eventually mature enough to produce a tall panicle of white flowers that are held aloft, above the leaves, the plant may then branch, post flowering.
This is a lovely addition to a jungle or tropical garden and Yucca's are very popular with garden designers who include them in their minimalist, contemporary, garden designs.
