The Blue Mediterranean Fan Palm or Chamaerops Humilis Cerifera is originally from the Moroccan Atlas Mountains in North Africa.
This attractive hardy palm has become extremely popular with European gardeners in recent years. It has a lovely exotic and architectural shape which will provide an interesting focal point in any garden.
The trunk generally has multiple stems bearing large blue/green fan shaped leaves. It is relatively slow growing and has a low bushy shape. It is tolerant of low temperatures and even heavy frost when planted directly in the ground.
Growing Tip: Should be planted in well drained soil and can be planted in pots or containers. This hardy palm will also tolerate drought and of course loves the sun.
