Hellebores are part of the Ranunculaceae buttercup family and are commonly called the Lenten Rose as they flower over Christmas time. The Double Ellen variety of hellebore is a new double-flowered Orientalis hybrid from Dutch breeder Ellen Akerboom. 

Helleborus Double Ellen Pink Spotted is a pretty variety of hellebore that will produce large, ruffled double-pink flowers with delicate purple freckles and yellowy-green stamened centres. Flowers appear on upright stems in early winter and stand above the evergreen foliage for three months. Its dark green lobed foliage grows in clumps and often lasts throughout the summer months before new leaves appear with the approach of winter.
