Quercus Ilex, also known as the Holm Oak or Holly Oak is an evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean region. Its name comes from the Latin for holly – Holm.  Quercus Ilex forms a beautiful rounded head with pendulous hanging branches. Its size and solid evergreen character give it an imposing and architectural presence, making it an invaluable asset in urban and garden settings.

Quercus Ilex will grow in full sun or partial shade in any type of soil. These trees have good resistance to disease. As Quercus Ilex responds very well to clipping, they can make a very effective and attractive screening hedge.
