Picea Abies Daisy’s White is a neat and compact evergreen conifer shrub that grows in a 90-centimetre tall pyramid. In spring its new needles are pale cream hence the name Daisy’s White. It’s a good choice for rockeries, courtyards, containers, slopes and banks.
Picea Abies are commonly known as Norway Spruce. They are hardy conifers native to most of Europe and produce the largest cones of any spruce tree. This cultivar ‘Daisy’s White’ is a dwarf conifer version so it will never get overly large.
In spring, pale cream needles emerge on branch tips which mature to yellow-green in summer and eventually deep blue-green in autumn. It’s an eye-catching three-toned shrub with an interesting structure in return for very little care. Norway Spruce Daisy’s White grows in a pyramidal shape from the start, so you don’t have to wait for its architectural shape to emerge.
It holds the RHS AGM and Plants for Pollinators badge.

How To Care For Picea Abies Daisy’s White
Norway Spruce Daisy’s White is easy to grow and care for.
It prefers acidic to neutral soil but will manage in alkaline ground with an annual top-up of bracken or pine-based mulch. Alternatively, grow it in a container of ericaceous compost, but be sure to regularly water and feed it plus prop the container on feet to enable good drainage. Daisy’s White does not like constantly soggy soil. Grow it in full sun or partial shade in exposed or sheltered spots. Pruning isn’t required.
