Yew Semperaurea is an upright yellow yew with UK horticultural origins from the late 1800s. It’s a tough and hardy yew with short dense branches and golden-yellow needles with yellow edges. Unlike some golden yew species, Yew Semperaurea retains it golden colour year-round, hence its name semperaurea - semper aurea is Latin for always gold.
