Passiflora Caerulea Clear Sky - Blue Flowering Passion Flower Clear Sky
Commonly known as Blue Passion Flower, Passiflora Clear Sky is a new hybrid created by Roland Fischer in Germany in 2001. This variety of passion flower has proven to be an excellent addition to the Passiflora collection.

Passiflora Clear Sky is a truly vigorous climber with enormous flowers that can reach 5 inches across. The blooms are beautiful exotic-looking fragrant flowers. The petals are a deep blue colour with vibrant blue/purple central filament. While Clear Sky is a blue flowering variety, it is a slightly paler blue than other varieties such as Passiflora Silly Cow or Passiflora Betty Myles Young. Passion Flower Clear Sky is a strikingly beautiful yet very easy to grow. This variety will continue to bloom all summer long. The flowers then develop into soft yellow / orange fruits in the autumn.

Passion Flower is the perfect climber for training over an arbour and looks romantic when grown into the boughs of a sturdy tree. Passion Flower climbers also work well as an evergreen screening climber for training up a wall or fence or through trellis, offering great privacy screening as the dense leaves stay all year round.
